Antique Siamese Embroidered Picture
This fabulous large Siamese antique embroidered picture depicts a traditional eastern stylized landscape with motifs of elephants, dancers, palm trees and blossoms. The intricate embroidery work is set within a wide border, made up of various lengths of fabric. Inside this framework, embroidery, couching, beadwork and applique have been sewn onto a magenta coloured fabric that has faded with age to a pleasing soft, mellow shade. Mounted in a gilt frame, this is a stunning decorative embroidered antique picture that would add an eastern flavour to any interior design scheme.
