18th Century Cherry Wood Armchair
This superb Georgian cherry wood open armchair is in excellent original condition, it has retained it's full height with no tipping to the legs. The finely detailed splat and elegantly curved arms are particularly attractive. The chair has a rich colour and patina, stands evenly and firmly and has a drop in seat with a handworked, woollen needlepoint cover. This handsome chair dating from the Chippendale era of the Georgian period is extremely versatile, e.g. a useful and decorative stand alone chair or a comfortable desk chair.
