Regency Brass & Wire Work Fire Guard

A very high quality antique English country house fire guard. This excellent fire guard dates from the Regency period and stands on neat bun shaped brass feet. The brass top rail has decorative brackets to hold fire irons and attractive wire swags to the iron mesh. The cast iron base is beautifully modelled with a chamfered base and lipped sections at each end to secure fire irons. The condition is excellent. We have photographed this antique fire guard with a set of stunning mid 19th Century fire irons, these are not included in the price of this fire guard, but are available as a separate item.
