19th Century Camphor Campaign Trunk
A lovely example of a 19th Century camphor wood trunk with original brass bound corners and substantial original brass swan neck carrying handles. This antique campaign trunk has a superb rich colour and well patinated surface. The interior is very clean and perfect to use as additional storage. There is a small chip inside the rim, this is not detrimental to the look of the chest as it can't be seen when the chest is closed. The overall look and condition of the piece are good, the handles and brass ware are in excellent order. This superb 19th Century camphor wood trunk is an example full of character, a great piece to use for storage around the home, perhaps at the end of a bed or as a coffee table as it looks lovely from every side. A very useful item of campaign furniture that would be a decorative and practical addition to any home.
