19th Century Fruitwood Extending Dining Table
An excellent 19th Century French fruitwood dining table that extends to seat 12 people. This beautiful antique table has a decorative frieze and is raised on shaped legs. The planked top with cleated ends has the wonderful mellow, golden tone only acquired after many years. This antique dining table has pull out extensions to both ends to comfortably accommodate 12 people, a very useful feature for family celebrations and parties! The condition of the table is very good, it stands well and is very solid and reassuringly heavy! There has been a historic repair to a small area of the plank top, this is minor and only adds to the character. There is wear to one leg, again minor. Both are clearly shown in the photographs. This superb French fruitwood dining table would be a wonderful addition to any kitchen or dining room.
