19th Century Mahogany Campaign Desk
A superb 19th Century mahogany campaign desk, with original red leather top, full width document drawer with working lock and key, recessed brass handles and corner plates. This beautifully patinated antique campaign desk is raised on twin pedestals, each with three drawers. The desk is by the renowned maker of campaign furniture, Arthur Foley & Son. The red leather top is distressed in places, as can be seen in the photographs, we think that this adds to the character of this fabulous antique desk. The overall condition is good, having a deep rich colour and patina. This antique desk is made up of three separate sections, like many antique campaign desks. This well proportioned antique desk is an excellent example of late 19th Century campaign furniture, the clean lines would work well in any interior design scheme, traditional or contemporary.
