With strong influences of both the Arts and Crafts and the Aesthetic movements, the rich oak timber is complimented by mahogany and satinwood inlay and painted decoration. This antique writing table stands on geometric and organically carved legs with ebonised turnings and octagonal bases, terminating with brass and porcelain castors. This table typifies the ideals of the Arts and Crafts and Aesthetic movements, embracing the natural beauty of the materials and the skill of the craftsman.
