A Fabulous Pair of 18th Century Lead Garden Urns
A fabulous pair of 18th Century twin handled lead garden urns. These lead urns date from 1780, they are decorated with foliage swags surrounding a central cartouche set above a dragooned design to the lower body. These antique urns stand well on their lobed bases. The handles are particularly beautiful, with flowing lines and a distinctive pattern. The condition is good, there has been some change of shape due to the elements and use, this is to be expected, lead being a soft metal, and only adds to the character. This lovely pair of 18th Century lead urns have an excellent patination and colour that can only be acquired with age. A superb pair of antique urns to use in the garden or use for decorative display indoors.
