Arts & Crafts Brass Watering Can by William Souter & Sons
This 19th century brass watering can has all the features of the Arts and Crafts Movement, sleek body lines with simple banding, scrolling side handle and swivel top handle which terminates with typical Arts and Crafts detail. The removable lid fits well and the general condition is good. The watering can is clearly marked with the logo of William Souter and Sons who were highly regarded brass manufacturers in Birmingham from 1835, they ceased trading in 1929. Designs from the Arts and Crafts period are timeless and this watering can is as useful and decorative today as it was in the late 19th century
