George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers
Dating from the Georgian period, a beautifully proportioned mahogany chest of four graduated oak lined, cock beaded drawers standing on bracket feet. The original brass handles and escutcheon plates on this Georgian antique chest are particularly decorative and the colour and patina, acquired over many years, are superb. There are minor historic restorations to two small areas of the top. These are very small, have been very well done and can only be seen with careful scrutiny and they do not detract from the beauty of the chest. With its beautiful colour and fabulous small proportions, this early Georgian chest would be an important addition to any home, whether placed in the bedroom, hall or reception room.
