Early 18th Century Welsh Carved Oak Coffer

A very decorative early 18th Century carved Welsh oak coffer with two plank top raised on stile legs. This coffer is in very good condition with a great colour and patina that is only acquired over many years. It has some very minor repairs compatible with age. It is believed that this coffer was once owned by a member of Jane Austin's family, in more recent decades it has been in an important private collection of country furniture. A superb Welsh oak coffer that would add character to any interior.
