Early 19th Century Welsh Oak Cricket Table

A very striking Welsh oak cricket table, the unusually thick and beautifully grained top raised on canted legs, bearing traces of original paint with iron stretchers. The rich colour and patina of this antique primitive oak cricket table is outstanding. The condition is very good, the table stands evenly with no wobbles. There is evidence of historic woodworm, this is not active and has been thoroughly treated for peace of mind. This rare oak country cricket table is beautifully proportioned and displays the skills of country craftsmen who used the materials to hand with such pleasing results. A real gem that would look equally stunning in a traditional or contemporary setting.
