Japanese Polychrome Bowl

The centre of this beautiful Japanese bowl is painted with blue chrysanthemums, foliage and rocks on a yellow stippled ground, the edge with a green trellis design in the smae yellow shade. The outside of the bowl is painted with black foliage on a green ground. There are character marks to the base. There is is a slight distortion to a part of the rim, a quirky feature!this was obviously done by the potter and the decoration is completely intact and the condition is good. The stong jewel colours and very decorative design make this Japanese bowl a really lovely eye catching piece.
