Large 19th Century Silver Jewellery Box with Bramar Lock
An exquisite early Victorian sterling silver jewellery box, hallmarked Birmingham 1848. The fluted lid has an empty cartouche surrounded by scrolled border and outer edge with fine trellis work, gadrooning and scroll decoration. This intricate work is repeated on all four sides of the casket. The box has a working Bramah lock and key. The interior is lined with the original green silk velvet and the three compartment inner tray lifts out to reveal a lower storage section. The condition of the jewellery box is excellent. A beautiful box of outstanding quality, the perfect gift for someone special or a luxurious self indulgence.
