Regency Mahogany Bow Front Dressing Table/Side Table
A superb Regency mahogany bow fronted dressing table or side table with three quarter shaped gallery raised on exquisite graduated turned legs. This high quality antique mahogany table has an attractive concave line to the front housing three ebony strung drawers, all which run smoothly. The superb colour and patination, acquired over many years, are extremely rich and enhance the wonderful grain of the mahogany. The condition is very good, the table stands firmly with no wobbles. There is a minor short crack to the back of the gallery, This can be seen if you look very carefully at the photographs, this has been present for a long time and does not detract from the appearance of this stunning antique table as you really have to look very hard to see it. As with any antique piece, there are one or two minor marks and blemishes to the top, compatible to the age of the piece, it has not been repolished as we believe the original colour and patina is a thing of beauty. This should always be a major consideration when buying antique furniture - originality wherever possible. This beautiful table dating from the Regency period, would make a very elegant dressing table or an eye catching side table in a reception room or entrance hall.
