Tridacna Gigantea Small Complete Clam Shell
This smaller example of the species is a complete and exquisitely formed clam shell, the distinct layers giving a frilly appearance. The outside still retains evidence of its life in the southern oceans, the inside is a good white colour, shiny and clean. The two halves fit together well making the complete clam shell. There is a small chip to the inside edge of one half, this can be seen in the photos, the general condition is good. This unusual and highly decorative clam shell came from a private collection and would be an eye catching and interesting display item.
