19th Century Wedgwood Sauce Tureen
A very appealing 19th Century Wedgwood sauce tureen with lidded cover and stand. Dating from the mid Victorian period, this tureen is decorated in underglazed blue in a floral pattern within a stylised border, the lidded cover terminating with an exquisite finial of furled leaves. The colour and overall condition is good, there is a minute hairline crack where the ladle would sit, however, this is so small it is not apparent without very close scrutiny. Please refer to the photographs for all detailed views of this piece. This beautiful antique tureen bears clear Wedgwood imprest marks for 1872. This is a highly decorative blue and white transfer ware tureen of delightful neat proportions that would add elegance to the dining table or charming impact as part of a decorative collection.
